About The Role:

We are seeking for an experience Development Manager focusing on engineering talent and what it takes to ensure the right mix of hard and soft skills, make sure that they are aligned with the product focuses and able to build great software. Having great people operating in a awesome culture is our approach to ensuring we build the best products. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and a track record of managing successful software development teams and being a great culture ambassador.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an environment that supports the Valocity culture, ensures people are engaged in our business and in their roles.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the software development team.
  • Collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to define project scope and priorities, and to ensure alignment with overall business strategy.
  • Foster an Agile, DevOps culture within the team, promoting collaboration, rapid feedback, and high-quality standards.
  • Guide the team towards appropriate learning opportunities and provide appropriate coaching to encourage their professional growth and ensure high team performance.
  • Coordinate with HR for recruitment, performance evaluation, and conflict resolution within the team and offboarding.
  • Work closely with the team to identify and remove roadblocks.
  • Ensure the team is using best practices for software development, including automated testing and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  • Measure and report on team performance, using metrics such as velocity, quality, and customer satisfaction.


Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Software Development Manager, or in a similar leadership role.
  • Strong technical background, with experience in Microsoft development technologies (.NET Core, Angular), DevOps, and Azure.
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models, agile development methodologies, and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, including the ability to lead and mentor team members.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
